What is packing gauze for?
i'm really confused and weirded out about it even though i asked my dr what it is for. she put it surrounded by after lancing a big boil
Answers: Hello, All answers be good...It is a drain, or better but...to sop up fluid...it also keeps nouns full, so that duing healing you do not seize a big crater where boil be, just a small defect from the lancing.God Bless!! Mary
packing gauze AKA as a '' wick '' is used within the medical field primarily to DRAIN wounds, such as generous boils/ cysts. They are packed within to keep the wound accessible and fresh while it drains out all the pus. It sucks out blood and bodily fluids and uses it as an artificial scab. Also, it keep crap out of the wound.
to pack an open nouns that shouldn't be completely exposed...good luck next to the boil lancing!
