Acne cream Differin... The side effects?
Can you list the side effects of acne cream Differin? I don't want to use it in the past I know the negatives first.
Thanks.
Answer: Here are several I know:
Temporary burning and stinging; dry skin; notion of warmth; irritation; itching; blistering; redness; scale.
One of the most common ways of treating acne is the use of retinoids. Retinoids are substances derived from Vitamin A, which attempt to cure acne by normalize the lifecycle of follicle cells. There are two types of such substances, base on application: external (topical) and oral. The best known external retinoids are Retin-A, Differin and Tazorac, while the oral retinoids register is headed by the popular Accutane.
However, in the order of one quarter of the patients who used Accutane or other drugs based on isotretinoin may relapse and require further treatment.
But the biggest drawback of retinoids is the long list of side effects, which sometimes make retinoids look like a disease to some extent than a cure.
The most common side effects are dry skin and nosebleeds. Many patients own also reported liver problems, while a few complained of depression. However, the scientific community is still split on the issue of depression. More seriously, isotretinoin is set to cause birth defect, which is why female patients hold to use two separate forms of birth control or vow abstinence during the treatment. Pregnant women are barred to use anything but the mildest treatments.
The bottom line is that retinoids are a correct idea if one can cope beside the side effects. This begs the interrogate: why not use something just as important, but without the side effects. Acne treatment systems, such as ClearPores: http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickth... are also popular because of their nouns in dealing near the condition, but lack the extreme side that make retinoids a pain to use. The choice between these treatments is yours.
I've be using Differin for 9 months.
The first thing I notice is that my skin is drier, so make sure you use a honourable moisturizer.
The other thing be when I got my eyebrows wax, I scabbed where the wax be (it had pulled rotten a layer of skin). The scab disappears in a few days, its not like when you skin your knees and its a huge bright red scab, more similar to a discoloration and only 1 deposit deep.
I deduce the benefits have far outweighed the side effects that I've have.
Side effects, that may go away during treatment, include reddishness, itching, dryness, peeling, stinging, or a emotion of warmth. If they verbs or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Check near your doctor as soon as possible if you experience blistering, crusting, swelling, or excessive redness or crumbling of your skin. If you notice other effects not nominated above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, check next to your doctor. Do not share this medicine near others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medication for other health conditions. Keep this pills out of the reach of children. If using this pills for an extended period of time, come by refills beforehand your supply runs out.
