Blood sugar.?
I took my blood sugar today about 15 minutes after I ate breakfast and it be 63. Does this mean I'm hypoglycemic? Could someone explain this to me? I thought your insulin rose after a spread?
Answers: The normal blood sugar smooth is between 80 and 120. 63 is a little low, but you still haven't fully digested your breakfast but. I would take it again merely before your subsequent meal.
It's simply a little low. Nothing to verbs about. Hypoglycemia does expect low blood sugar, but that's only if you budge below 50 for most people.
It should rise after a lunchtime.. It does depending on what you eat, you should own taken it before a spread to see how low it was. I'd hold a log for a few days and in the meantime send for your dr. and schedule an appt. to walk over the #'s and have him writ an A1c to see what your average BS level have been over times past few months.
Good luck!
Don't worry, a moment ago keep a log of your sugars for a few days. They should be between 80-120. If you be in motion below 50 then get through some food (carbs) , get a doctors appointment, and hold them check your a1c. If none of what you ate included fast acting sugar (juice for example) later it can take 60-90 minutes to affect your blood sugar. Yes, you could be hypoglycemic. Don't underpinning it on one test though. If you hold continual low readings, and it's accompany by headaches, nausea, and lightheadness you could check near a doctor.
