Schnauzer Mini and allergies?
What is the truth about allergies and this breed? I'm thinking of buying one for my daughter and I've heard/read that these dogs belong to a group that associates are unlikely to be allergic to. I'be also heard this to be a mith spread by breeders to increase sale etc. Does anyone know? My daughter had an allergy oral exam done and cats and dogs came out slightly positive, she's 9.
Answers: busybee2 is correct, dog saliva and dog dander are the culprits astern pet allergies. Allergist tend to just voice dog instead of dog dander. It simplify things for the most part. If you want to take a dog that is close by allergen free, you want one that doesn't have much dander. If you vacuum your house regularly, hose your dog weekly, and have your daughter on a allergy medication she will be fine. I hold had animals adjectives my life and I own been taking prescription nasal sprays and an oral pill. I own few problems with allergy when I pinch both. I highly recommend you do buy a dog or at tiniest a cat. It will help your daughter, I individually feel, to consistency more like the other children. I do not close to cats, they are not much of a pet, but I don't care for small dogs any. I prefer a companion, guard, and a friend, not a cute little thing that doesn't do anything.
I one-sidedly would recommend what I feel to be one of the 3 smartest dog breeds I enjoy ever owned.
1)Border Collie
2)Australian Shepherd
3)Shetland Sheepdog
These three will be the best dogs you have ever owned. Easy to train, roughly speaking as smart as a 5 year old, especially the Australian shepherd.
Sounds approaching you are being a appropriate father; props to you.
People are allegic to dog dander and dog saliva. All dogs have both, so adjectives dogs have the potential to trigger allergies.
Whether a dog will trigger depends on how regularly they are bathed, how bad they slobber and how sensitive the individual is to the allergens.
I have allergies and purloin medication for them. I am very allergic to cats and anything that sheds abundantly. Mini-Schnauzers do not shed, or shed very little. You do enjoy to have them groomed regularly for that grounds. And they need regular baths if not they will have skin problems and allergies.
I have two older ones that I rescued. I never have any allergy problems with any of them. I think that they are wonderful little companions. They love to play and love to please. They are outstandingly smart and easy to train. They are curious and newly love life!
I did do one point, though. My dogs stayed inside most of the time, but when we went out to play or doesn`t matter what, I always used a kid wipe to get any pollen past its sell-by date of them.
If your daughter likes this breed and you do, I would read aloud get one. I never saw any shedding beside mine, and yes, that does make a great deal of difference!
