Answers: Sadly darlin, there is no cure for any type of dementia.
Spend time beside her,& keep her nontoxic is all you can do.
There isn't any cure for vascular dementia.
There is treatment though. According to Wikipedia:
The aim of the government is the prevention of further cerebrovascular lesions. This includes administering antiplatelet drugs and controlling highest vascular risk factors (hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, smoking ...)
Agents that may be adjectives include antidepressants, neuroleptics and mood-stabilizers. Electroconvulsive therapy may be indicated surrounded by extreme cases provided a medical contraindication does not exist."
You could ask the doctor to prescribe pain killer if she's in some serious discomfort.
Hello, I'm the last one contained by the world to say there's no cure. Only God know. I never once lost hope that my dad may get better. Noone know the cause of his. He have a minor surgery and immediately get severe dementia. It was the hardest time of my enthusiasm. But he made me proud. He took only tyelnol for 4 months and I know it was prickly. What helped is that he offered up his affliction for poor souls in purgatory. He qualified me life module I will never forget.
It makes me cry freshly looking at your post becuase I'd love to be able to own my dad back, even next to his dementia, just to see him again. Even though during that time I needed him back home and delighted again. It's crazy, how someone could see your situation and be somewhat jealous. To answer your put somebody through the mill, NEVER lose hope EVER. During my dad's sickness, there be moments, sometimes 1 minute, 10 seconds of hugely clearness. These were small miracles given to us. I cherish respectively one. He knew me at those times, or he said something so clearly. Maybe that happen with your gran. Cherish them. It's really not almost the pain, there's nought easy on Earth. Just bring in sure you learn from her suffering of how to live a better go on earth. My dad be a recovering alchoholica and pill addict and he chose to filch no pain pills during his concluding 4 months. He did great, so with or short pain, your loved one wishes to see you in Heaven and for you to do what you have need of to do on Earth to get to see them again. There are some cases where on earth loved ones come "back" for a short while, but never permanent. Never lose hope, but most importantly, trade name sure you do what you need to do to know how to get to Heaven as very well.
