In my experience, Carmex irritates my cold sores. The menthol is supposed to dry it out, but I think it only just makes mine wacky. You will have to experiment and find what will work for yours.

Vitamin E grease can be soothing, or I use a product called LipClear. It have the amino acid lysine contained by it which helps.

Trust me from my own experience: doesn`t matter what you do, don't use Anbesol on a fever blister. Sure, after I quit screaming my lip be numb for a while, but it wasn't worth it.

Also, if you get cold sores, nuts are the worst article you can eat because they are soaring in arginine which the virus wishes to reproduce.

fever blisters is a virus...herpes simplex #2....severely contagious..do not let anyone kiss you or drink after you. unscrew the vit E and rub on blister..it will help beside the scar.

it should. the best piece you should do is get 2 tubes of carmax. one for immediately then one after its gone. If you use carmax you wont go and get cold sores. also if you feel approaching youre about to grasp one dont go contained by the sun . also if you cut back on chocolate, coke and coffee you wont receive them as much . carmax is about $1.29.

The best piece I have ever used for frenzy blisters and cold sores is Lactinex pills. Ask your pharmacist. You don't need a prescription, but they hang on to them in the refrigerator.
