Gallbladder Removal?
Just found out today that I need to enjoy my gallbladder removed because I have multiple stones.
What's involved? Is it considered trunk surgery? What is the recovery time? Does insurance usually cover this surgery? I'd love to know anything anyone have to offer almost having their gallbladder removed.
Answers: I am 22 and I have mine out 2 weeks ago. I was really nervy before appendage, so it is understandable if you are, especially if it is your first surgery, approaching it was mine. It is usually covered by insurance, but you will hold to check with yours, if you beckon they will be able to report you. I went within to the surgery clinic at 6 am and by 7:15 I was person rolled into the surgery room. They do the surgery laparoscopically and it only take about an hour. You will stir up in a recouping room and you will have a sore throat (from the breathing tube they use during surgery) and your belly will be sore, but the drugs help that! I go home about lunchtime on that same day. When I get home I set up camp within my mom's recliner and slept a lot. I wasn't contained by much pain because of the drugs that they hand over you, just sore. It is correct for you to get up and bearing around as soon as you can, the day after my surgery I walk around the house as much as I felt comfortable near, but honestly I spent most of that day sleeping too... the percoset that they give me really made me drowsy. Honestly the thing that give me the most pain be the escaping gas, they use CO gas to pump up your stomach so that they can see what they are doing and when they are done, some of the gas gets trapped inside and for some common sense it moves up in your body and it can do pain within your back and shoulders, for me it hurt surrounded by my right shoulder for the first night and fragment of the second day. Anyways, I have my surgery on Wednesday morning and on Saturday I went out to lunch beside friends and on Monday I went stern to work, I work at a daycare and I lift 2 year olds adjectives day. So that be my experience. I hope that calmed your fears a little bit, and give you a little glimpse at what is to come for you. Believe me though, you won't regret it. There is nil better than knowing you won't have any more gallbladder attacks! Good luck! And please consistency free to email me if you have any more question.
Gallbladder surgery is usually done on an outpatient basis worth you go contained by to have the surgery surrounded by the morning and go home surrounded by the afternoon. Any surgery has it's risks - they are not classified as trunk or minor. They use a scope and progress in through 3 puncture holes to remove your gallbladder. You may singular have 3 bandaid on your belly when the surgery is done. Recovery time is about one week and most adjectives insurance plans cover this type of surgery, minus your co-pay.
