I have a vaginal ultrasound for beefy bleeding and clotting.?
I am very over-sensitive, and was wondering if someone could sustain me understand this report a bit better: I have to linger two weeks to see the gynecologist.
1. Uterine hypoechoic myometrial focus, probable small leiomyoma.
2. Endometrial heterogeneity may represent underlying endometrial hyperplasia versus endometrial polyp versus endometrial carcinoma. Would recommend a pelvic MRI and possible hysteroscopy to further evaluate.
3. Prior left adnexal abnormality not identified. Would consider a pelvic MRI to further evaluate.
4. Right adnexal hypoechoic focus, probably right ovary versus smaller quantity likely a subserosal leimyoma. This can be further evaluated on a pelvic MRI.
Thank you for any insight you can grant me!!
Answers:
They want to do a MRI along with a hysteroscopy to determine what it is that they own found. They do not believe it to be cancer, but they want to do the tests to formulate sure. They have found abnormality though. Go to ask.com and look up each of the words you do not know. You will requirement to look up leiomyoma, endometrial heterogeneity, endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyp, endometrial carcinoma, and adnexal hypoechoic. I did look up endometrial hyperplasia since this is likely the exact for the bleeding and here is the web site for this.

Hope this help.
i don't really understand adjectives the big words, but i do get the further evaluated division. They are either wise saying that they can't see any problems and they need to own an MRI to make sure, or they do see something and they want to verify it. My mom have the same piece done and that's just what they told her. i know i didn't really sustain much and you probably knew that, but hey i tried.
in actual fact you were heavily bleeding due to several reasons:
1. you hold a uterine myoma which means at hand is a mass growing in your uterus.. It is not stated whether it is subserous, submucous or intramural. But of the three, subserous cause heavier bleeding..
2. you have an endometrial problem which mechanism the lining of the uterus. It could any be a polyp or mass, or it could be endometrial cancer.
In order to know if the endometrial problem is cancer or lately polyp, you must have endometrial biopsy...which is newly an office procedure.
Pelvic MRI is not the subsequent thing to do.
By the road, what is your age? If you are way beyond your reproductive years, i would suggest hysterectomy. But first, we must know the major problem, whether the cause of the strapping bleeding is from the uterine myoma, polyp or cancer. Polyp can easily be removed. Myoma can be treated by surgery. Cancer can be retarded by chemotherapy and radiation..
hope this enlightens you a bit..
