Can Family doctors perscribe anti-depressants?
Im kinda wondering if i should look into them. Ive taken a few online evaluations from med. sites, and they have adjectives said i should consult a doctor asap...
What do anti-depressants actually do for a depressed being? do they make the depressed state of mind go away completely, or what?
Im solitary 18, but ive lost several family member, a long relationship, a few friends and im leaving to college...
is this something i should consider?

Yes, family connections doctors can prescribe anti depressants. Its entirely up to your doctor weather their appropriate for you. Talk to your doctor, tell how your foreboding, and your family history and get the decision together. No they don't run away the depressed feelings adjectives together but they can be very assiduous.
yes they can. i have a loved ones doctor (general practitioner) and i have anti depressants for migraine prevention. i embezzle 2 every night since bed. your family dr is your first file of defense, if he/she can not help you they can refer you to someone who can. but surrounded by my experience they can prescribe just roughly speaking any type of medications (believe me i hold had going on for everyone on the market)
Your family doctor can prescribe them for you but i would recommend chitchat with a Psychologist. The problems you are experiencing are due to the stresses that hold happened. It doesn't be going to they will last forever purely that you need some sort of help out getting over your grief and that you are making a major correct by going away to college.
If you don't want to talk o your nearest and dearest doctor about, most colleges hold a Nurse or health center where on earth you could go for assistance next to this.
You are no alone in this. Many relatives experience depression when there are foremost changes within their life. I am on anti depressants so i follow.
Talking to a councelor would help you cope near things.
Anti depressants provide a way to be a foil for the chemical levels surrounded by your brain. They can take up to a month to work surrounded by your system. They don't make adjectives the symptoms go away but they should provide nouns and make things a bit easier to cope next to so you don't feel so down.
Good Luck beside school. Please find a theripist that you are comfortable next to that will help you to work out your grief and stress.
Yes, your ethnic group doctor can prescribe anti depressants. Remember that most of these drugs do take 4 weeks within your system to even take effect. So don't expect it to work close to an aspirin. They should make your state of mind go away but, sometimes one drug won't work and they will try another. So maintain that in mind also. I would suggest discussion with your doctor and letting them know what you hold been consciousness and they will help you to nick the best course of action here. Good luck to you.
Family doctors can certainly prescribe antidepressants, yet they work best next to therapy unless you want to pilfer them for the rest of your life. I know your going Through alot my daughter completed her first year college closing year and lost her roommate/best friend in a saloon accident after they have been within college 2 months, then she lost her step mom of 17 yrs after complications from a knees band procedure after two months later lost her grandfather. She be put on anti depressants and went to grieve counseling and after some months be able to receive off the anti depressants. I really do conjecture in some baggage medication is needed but sometimes no matter what your going to grieve and hurt, it's purely life and sometimes it sucks.. but it other gets better... perfect luck in arts school.
