Answers:    That's second hand smoke. If you capture enough of it over adequate years, it can hurt your lungs. The amount you got tonight wouldn't take home enough of a alteration to leave any irreversible impairment.

Here's some information on second hand smoke from the American Lung Association at http://www.lungusa.org/site/pp.asp?c=dvL...

Secondhand smoke have been classified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a prearranged cause of cancer contained by humans (Group A carcinogen).2

Secondhand smoke exposure causes disease and premature passing in children and adults who do not smoke.

Secondhand smoke contains hundreds of chemicals specified to be toxic [poisonous] or carcinogenic [cancer causing], including formaldehyde, benzene, vinyl chloride, arsenic ammonia and hydrogen cyanide.

Secondhand smoke causes approximately 3,400 lung cancer death and 46,000 heart disease deaths within adult nonsmokers within the United States each year.

Nonsmokers exposed to secondhand smoke at work are at increased risk for adverse vigour effects.

Fifteen states - Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Washington and Vermont - as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico prohibit smoking within almost all public places and workplaces, including restaurants and bar.

Secondhand smoke is especially harmful to immature children.

Secondhand smoke is responsible for between 150,000 and 300,000 lower respiratory tract infections [bronchitis, bad "colds"] surrounded by infants and children under 18 months of age, resulting surrounded by between 7,500 and 15,000 hospitalizations each year, and cause 430 sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) death in the United States annually.

Secondhand smoke can also aggravate symptoms surrounded by 400,000 to 1,000,000 children with asthma.

In the United States, 21 million, or 35 percent of, children live contained by homes where residents or people smoke in the home on a regular foundation.

Approximately 50-75 percent of children in the United States hold detectable levels of cotinine, the breakdown product of nicotine surrounded by the blood.
I don't think you own anything to worry give or take a few. You may be feeling the effects of the hot tub itself.

What you should suggest to her, is to STOP smoking around you or any child for that business. If she is trying to stop, that should be the first place she can be successful.

btw, if you mom "has" to have a cigarette while relaxing contained by a hot tub, then she have it bad. If she really is trying to quit, you would see signs of her doing so. If she can't cut down or be courteous around you, afterwards there is no alternative but to aim professional help. It's an addiction and some (or most) times it is subsequent to impossible to quit without outside facilitate.

I know, Im a smoker too.
