Brain cancer question?????
Ok well my Uncle who already have lung,colon and lymoh node cancer we had suspected it and it be confirmed today that he has brain cancer I already know to spend as much time and stuff ok but its small but its contained by stage 4 final stage how long will he have to live he have no kids no wife so its just me and mom taking caution of him we need to be prepared how long will he probably own they gave steroids to trim down swelling of brain and please tell me its a small one but they took the mri today and sent us straight to the doctor today the doctors said it be small and that was what be causing numbness within parts of his body so how long thy suggested hospice we have 10 radiations

Hospice does not acquire involved until all treatments are stopped. All the Hospice companies/employees that I hold come to know are all wonderful, gentle people. It take a special person to agreement with individual the dying on a daily justification and they have seriously of compassion for the caregivers also. From the 5 or 6 people that I know that hold had Hospice come within their homes for the sake of keeping the patient comfortable surrounded by their final days have adjectives had the service for approx. 3 weeks, make a contribution or take a couple of days.
When my mom be sent home with Hospice from a 6 week stay contained by hospital the first time the nurse came to see her I asked her her feelings as to "how long". Mom was sitting up, chitchat, joking and appeared fine. She told me at that point it could be 6 weeks or longer. That go on for about 1 1/2 weeks and later it went down mount. On the 21st day she passed.
I would not dispense all the money contained by the world for that time we spent together in those 3 weeks and I be her only caregiver. She know she was going to die and have accepted it within every way. She be a very special being and I miss her greatly. During that time we laughed much and we cried too. But chiefly we laughed. She planned her entire funeral and be able to ask special empire to be part of it. I tried to spawn every day special within one way or another. She loved her oodles different sets of dishes so each light of day I would serve her meals on a different set so she be able to reminise roughly when, where and why she bought or be given a certain set. I enjoy hearing the stories again and this time I salaried attention as I would never hear them again. Now I can pass down the fluency that came beside them when I pass them on to my family circle members.
Has your uncle permitted that he is dying or does he think he is improving? Try talking to your uncle roughly Hospice. All they do is make sure he is comfortable adjectives the while letting him maintain his dignity. They arrange the hospital bed and any other items needed (i.e., potty bench, oxygen etc.) to be delivered and picked up. They are highly special people and it will generate your lives a lot easier surrounded by the end. I'm not sure but I mull over all services are free to you/him and Hospice covers adjectives meds at no cost to you or him. They are on call 24/7 and they return phone call fast. Another piece to consider is that when Hospice is involved and the person pass on, you don't call 911/police, you hail as the nurse. She will handle everything from in attendance on. She contacts the funeral home, etc
When a person dies at home and 911 is call, they require an autopsy to be done, at your expense ($3,000 +). When Hopice is involved, they handle everything and no autopsy have to be done as long as no one call 911.
He is lucky to have the two of you contained by his life and I commend ya'll for taking contemplation of him. Not everyone can or will do it. I know from my own experience. My sister did not have "time" to be bothered by the ordeal and thought that our mother should be put surrounded by a Hospice Home. She does not work and hubby makes tons of $$ but could not be bothered near caregiving. Just as well, I didn't want her around me anyway!
i'm sorry to utter that if they suggested hospice it won't be that much longer. A couple of weeks at the most. but don't give up hope
It could be 10 days to 10 weeks thats what I other hear the doctors say,the other guy is right when they transport them to hospice they usually go prompt,especially if they can verbalize pain,thye only just keep giving him cramp meds till he passes away and its court.
If he has Cancer and metastasis to other organs and is very soon in the brain, the communication isn't good as I'm sure you know. No one but God know how long he will live, but I know you want to have a broad knowledge so you and your mom can prepare. Statistically, those with cancer surrounded by level 4 that have spread to the brain is usually 1-2 months. Ask his oncologist, he will be able to bequeath you an idea too. Hospice seem the best path at this time though. He will manifestly need assistance. He will get dizzy, slow, unsteady and a high falls risk. You and your mom requirement help. Get hospice as soon as you can. And...devout for you for helping him, that's what real living is adjectives about.
My mom have lung cancer and she had a severely small amount of cancer move to her brain the Dr suggested Hospice and he said it could be from now to 2 weeks it be 3 weeks and she passed
