Answers: Yes. HSV-1 (oral herpes) can be spread to the genitals through intimate contact. Just because it's known as oral herpes doesn't propose you can't contract it somewhere else. Same goes for HSV-2 (genital herpes) it can also be spread to the mouth.
If he have genital herpes, it can be transmitted up to three days before a distinct outbreak. well cold sores are oral herpes and they are contagious. if u have an outbreak at the time its possible that u could have transfered the cold sores to his genitals. thats how i get genital herpes so its possible. look up genital herpes on mayclinic.cm or webmd.com. if he starts having any symptoms after he should get to a doctor to catch tested.
