How matured does someone beside a serious grip of spina bifida usually live?

My cousin is now 5 years elderly & was born near spina bifida. I love her so much, & she is an amazing little girl. I have 2 right to be heard she is my favorite cousin, although she lives in a different state & i don't see her normally. I would like 2 know how dated she could live 2 be, her case is especially serious.

Most kids with spina bifida can live to a pretty out-of-date age. With all the advancement today, she should be able to live as average of a life as you can expect. Does she enjoy any mental retardation? Just keep on loving her, and spending time next to her everytime you can.
