Hi honey, I'm a practice nurse contained by Coventry. All you need to do is ring your GP surgery and ask for an appointment with the nurse. Now depending on the receptionist, they may ask if you can speak what it's for (we nurses like to be prepared) but you undeniably do not have to bequeath the receptionist this info, just detail them you'd rather not say aloud, thankyou! Once you're in beside the nurse you can get checked out contained by confidence, and hopefully all will be fine ;). Alternatively you can look up the phone number for your local GUM clinic within the yellow page. But I find these places a bit impersonal, because everyone knows why you're contained by the waiting room, whereas at your GPs they don't.
