How to spot signs of autism?
My daughter is 14 months, she really don't say any words nonetheless she used to make mamama and dadada sounds but it stopped. She'll occasionally say-so ba and then interval and again with another ba for baba. The dr said something roughly speaking autism and now I am easily upset...what are some other signs that I can look for?

Maybe you could pilfer your daughter to a developmental pyschologist.. Where I live, there is a child nouns center. The people will be better at diagnosing this condition than a doctor since they concordat with cases such as this commonly.
This is also an interesting site:http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/actearl...
Click 1 year and read all in the region of what your child should be capable of. At the bottom near are some warning signs.
I hope I help
Best of luck
Social withdrawl, acceleration in other areas (such as mathmatics or arts) impressive responses with emotion (such as getting overly frustrated from a simple task etc.) If she seem to not "hear" you though you know her hearing is fine, or is past its sell-by date in another world. Now most kids at 14 months can demonstrate any of these sings but this is a on a daily basis basis that these signs should come up. But also remember, every child is different, my nephew didn't vote a word til two and not at 4 is finally starting to catch up to my daughter who is 4 months younger consequently him! All children progress at different rates so I wouldn't get too lash up over this just even so! I would suggest making an appointment to get your daughter's audible range checked, and also for a speech evaluation. The speech eval will most likely be a series of question that you will answer.
One sign that I missed was the reality that my son did not point to anything by 9 months.
Also you can contact your local birth to three program. You should be able to refer your daughter for an eval next to them.
Don't wait. It won't hurt to check things out. Good luck!
