"Varicose vein" within finger?

Recently I had what looked similar to a varicose vein contained by the top joint of my departed ring-finger. It was reasonably painful, a bit similar to when you get a static electric shock bad a car, and nearby was a purple red mark which looked rather approaching a varicose vein. Lasted a angelic few days, and the area still feel a bit funny and looks slightly purple.
Just looking for reassurance really, don't want to bother the doc if it is just a varocose capillary and no trouble, but thought it might be a sign of something else. I'm a 25 year old feminine in suitable health.

Answers:
Varicose vein commonly develop in the legs and ankles. My wife have them on her legs which she accused me of cause. If I didn't get her pregnant she wouldn't enjoy those veins. Sigh.
As for your casing, it could be something else or nothing or spider vein. Come on, take time past its sell-by date and visit the doctor. The assurance is nearby.
