158 beat per minute backing?

Ive been getting short of breath for similar to 2 years and starting getting light head all the time. So i go to the doctor and he did a bunch of test and i wore the 24 heart monitor and he said it showed frequent sinus tachycardia and that my beat per min. were getting up as big as 158, and i go vertebrae next week for a ring ( i think he mentioned checking my heart valves) andd next start some medicine to slow my heart rate and dance see a cardiologist, What could it possible be? and also, the day i be up to 158 bpm i was at rest, the individual thing i did be go to the store near my mom and watch t.v and zilch strenuous at all. im also just this minute 18 and i have never drank or done drugs im not over consignment and i dont have giant blood pressure or anything. Im kinda scared and im only wondering if anyone know what it might be?

the average bmp from the monitor was around 100

Answers:
Sinus tachycardia as you mentioned which be reported in the 24hr cartridge means that the heart is battering fast,no press but the typical waves (created by heart beats)and its morphology are apparently conventional.A normal heart rythm surrounded by ECG is called sinus rythm, but beside a rapid rate but mundane rythm(ie) regular rythm, this is called sinus tachycardia.

Sinus tachycardia: A hasty heartbeat (tachycardia) because of rapid firing of the sinoatrial (sinus) node.

The sinoatrial (or sinus) node is the unprocessed pacemaker of the heart. It is located in the wall of the right atrium (the right upper chamber of the heart). Normal cardiac impulse start there and are transmitted to the atria and down to the ventricles (the lower chamber of the heart).

Sinus tachycardia occurs surrounded by response to exercise, exertion, excitement, pain, hallucination, excessive thyroid hormone, low blood oxygen (hypoxia), stimulant drugs (such as caffeine and amphetamines), etc.

Although sinus tachycardia is usually a response to one or another fleeting stimulus, it can upon occasion be a sign of heart disaster, heart valve disease, or another significant infection.

Having said that, considering your age probably it is an excess of the Thyroid Hormone(which can set your heart racing) which looks like the most plausible culprit. An ECHO which is to be done on you is to rule out any intrinsic defects or deformity in your heart which can result surrounded by the same, but I am pretty sure this would be a typical study by and large. Excess of caffeine(in wgatever form), smoking, alcohol, anxious identity are other causes surrounded by teenagers.

You may be started on a Beta Blocker which slows down the heart rate and if there is a hyperactive thyroid next you need something to curb the plane of the hormone as well.
Hope this have answered you queries.Dont involve to panic, everything's gonna be OK. Good luck!
I don't know. I started taking an iodine suppliment and it have slowed my pulse down to 60 beats per minute. Maybe that would abet you?
Fast heart beats usually process that your body needs to go and get either more oxygen or more glucose to the rest of your body. Since this seem to be pretty frequent we can rule out glucose ( that's more adrenaline related). Talk to your doctor about exercise because if you can exercise you should that will credible lower your heart rate by a lot. But be cautious and aware that it may be heart disease. It sounds to me that you require more oxygen (or have a problem) to bring to your extremities.
