When they removed his stomach they did not do anything but attach his esougis to his intestines. Now he can not hardly put away or drink anything. When he does he just throws most things up and his insufficiency of stomach hurts him most all the time, even on the medication they pass him. Are there any other treatment option or was at hand anything they could have done such as clear him some sort of stomach?

You should probably come together a support group that can give you the best answers to these question. There are people within these groups who have encounter the same issues that you facade and will be able to guide you through this take a trip.

I am not sure by your description if the surgery was curative or palliative? If it be curative than the surgeon was trying to let go your brothers life by any technique possible. If it was palliative, I am disbelieving why they would have done this unless your brother approved it. You should really be asking these question to the oncologist and not here.

I am really sorry to hear that. I too was diagnosed next to the cancer but refused to adopt the doctors suggestion for the removal of any part of my body. The radiation and chemo did work but the price I compensated was illustrious. The doctors also wanted to move my stomach up and connect it o the esophegus but again on my refusal, they inserted a tube into my stomach thru which I nurture. I have not have even a sip of water within seven years and will never be able to drink again. I still need a regular life ( as regular as cancer would let me ) and enjoy grown used to accepting the changes surrounded by my life.
I can powerfully relate to what your brother is going through and in adjectives honestly I can only option him well.
