My 2 yr ancient son have cf, and he a moment ago caught a cold. does he entail antibiotics?
the doc said no but i am not so sure. every other time he has be sick, he has taken antibiotics.
Answer:
Antibiotics will not treat a cold, as colds are viral. Antibiotics treat bacterial infections. Overuse of antibiotics lead to emergence of resistant organisms.
Follow your doctor's advice. If he develops a disorientation, call the doc vertebrae. Otherwise, treat the cold symptoms with over-the-counter meds.
unless he is running a large fever and have yellow colored mucus they will not make available it to him, most doctors now try to avoid antibotics because too several antibotics will make the child immune to a prescription and if the child needs meds next, it won't be as effective. my 8 yr aged is very sick right presently with bronchittis too, don't verbs, yeah right, all virtuous mom's worry
My boss have a son with CF. From what I appreciate, antibiotocs are needed quite a bit for CF patients (and strong ones, at that). However, since it is cold, antibiotics do not treat colds. I would sign your child is also on a lot of respiratory treatments at adjectives times (like albuterol nebulizers). If you are concerned, seek a second inference. CF is certainly naught to mess around with. Best wishes!
I would say-so that the onset of a cold would not be an indication for antibiotics since it is viral, but within CF, the secondary infections are sure to follow.
If you are not going to a CF center, I support you to check this out. There are some doctors out there who get the impression that they can treat just in the order of anything just as okay as any specialty care center, but I can relate you that this is simply not the case near CF.
Go to http://www.cff.org if you need to locate a CF Center in close proximity you.
