Live liver donors?

I donated 60% of my liver a year and a half ago and I am still response pain contained by the upper right side of my stomach. Yes I have talk to the transplant team and they say-so some discomfort is normal but I really have a feeling that they aren't listening to my concerns. Has anyone else be thru this or a similar surgery? I have have no complications and am healthy liver is support to its normal size so I expect it might just be the muscles aren't remedial. Any advice would be appreciated thankfulness

Answers:
Go to your personal physician, or someone else not connected with the transplant squad.

It's a common complaint among living donors that once their organ is out, the tx squad stops caring nearly them.
I think it's purely a different mind-set. The organ recipient have been horribly sick for a long time. After the transplant he/she feel a million times better. The donor, however, was nutritious until someone ripped open his belly and stuck their hands into his gut. After the transplant he feel like crap.

Some discomfort is indeed to be expected. But not for a year and a partly. Your pain must be from adhesion -- scar tissue -- that can't really be fixed. Or it could be from inflammation, that can be fixed.

Another living donor I know have bruising of his bowel, that, combined with the distress meds, caused horrible constipation, which surrounded by turn caused hemorrhoids and rear spasms. All of which were fixable -- but weren't until he go to a doctor outside the tx team.

Good luck.
And frequent many kudos to you for your handsome gift of time.
