Cardiac ultrasound or sonorgam?
would like to know what could be diagnoised near this test and how it is done
Answers:
These are expressions for an echocardiogram. You can look at the structure of the heart and how well it is functioning. There are 2 routes; trans thoracic, where on earth a probe is placed against your skin on your cheat, and oesophageal, where on earth a probe is passed into your mouth and down your oesophagus. I enjoy only see the second method done to patients having a standard anaesthetic for cardiac surgery, but it could be used for diagnosis in some countries.
IVUS may be used to:
* View the aorta and structure of the artery walls (which can show plaque build up)
* Identify which specific blood vessel is involved contained by aortic dissection
* Determine where a stent should be placed
* Discover how resourcefully angioplasty and stenting worked
Please see the web page for more details on Intravascular ultrasound.
