14 karat gold ingots and low iron...?
My neighbor asked me for one of my gold rings and proceded to slide it down my cheek. It not here a black line. She said it designed I was low on iron. Just wondering if this is true; and if so, what is the argument behind the gold ingots leaving a black strip. Thanks!

jewelers repeatedly hear this complaint. They call it "the mystery of the gold ingots smudge". Under normal conditions gold ingots won't tarnish or corrode, but there are generation of stories about "not anyone able to wear gold ingots." Research into the "gold smudge" have five basic reason why gold can sometimes evacuate a black mark or a imprudent.
1. Sometimes skin secretion and perspiration contain chemicals which react next to the molecules of other metals in the gold ingots alloy. This can happen when change occur within body chemistry for example, during pregnancy.
2. Outside chemical influences, such as medications, cosmetics, hairsprays and perfume may sometimes be to blame for the "smudge." Always allow these products to dry before putting on your jewelery. Some shampoos, for example, those produced specifically for dandruff or scalp problems may disappear a residue on the skin that will continue to tarnish lower carat gold ingots.
3. Air pollutants from industry may cause the "smudge" which can rub bad onto the skin when jewelery is worn.
4. Minute particles of dust or powder may be entrenched in the skin which can result surrounded by extremely small particles of gold ingots alloy being rubbed rotten and left on the skin.
5. The fifth and most minuscule likely basis may be an allergy to gold or one of the other metals contained by the alloy, such as an allergy to nickel which is commonly used in style jewelery, some white golds and some modern hard gold-plating methods.

If your low on anything i would take amino acids 1500. This is a pill that will brake down vitamens and your foods and report to them where to step in your body. It do again muscle tissue and does a dozen different things. Their for bodybuilders but anybody can use them. It will renurish your body. Take many multi vitamens. This is adjectives i now i am not a doctor a moment ago a wanna be bodybuilder. I tell every body to hold these.
Gold is highly non-reactive metal. So probably the other metals surrounded by the alloy gold might act in response.
I am not having any other wisdom as P S states in his reply.
But remember GOLD is notably non-reactive when alone.
