Answers: Medically palpitations are defined as the unpleasant awareness of the forceful, rapid or irregular whipping of your heart. To me when you can feel your heartbeat or beat of any kind this is a palpitation.
Palpatation is defined as a pounding or race of the heart which means speedily beating, does not include skipping beat. I have have a irregular heart beat for years sometimes it beat fast, sometimes it skips beat and my cardiologist calls it palpitations. The definition for palpitations is;

When I attend patients who vote they are having palpitations and they touch that their heart is racing , relatively often when put on our ecg mechanism we discover that it is not. It is not uncommon to hold extra beats especially when drinking greatly of caffinated drinks for instance. When these extra beats whip place (extra systole) there is usually a compensatory wait (not long) before the subsequent beat. this give the owner the feeling he/she have missed a beat when contained by fact they hold had an extra spank.
