Ferritin level enjoy gone down?
I rang up my doctors today to grasp my blood test results and be told that my ferritin levels have gone down and my iron way still matching. I have be on iron tablets prescribed by the doctor for 3 months now. my previous level were 35 ferritin and 11 serum iron. I get told that my ferritin was immediately 20 and iron was still 11? I am confused as i thought that iron tablets would construct my ferritin rise. The receptionist said that was suitable though as it was too giant before? Maybe they are reading my results wrong or do not know what they are on more or less. I am still feeling pretty tired and it appears the iron tablets have not done anything
Answers: Ferritin is the storage form of excess iron. When they right to be heard that it is good that it dropped it is because that channel your body is working the way it should. Also, if you attain too much ferritin and it takes up adjectives available spots in the red cell then that excess iron will start to deposit contained by your organs and tissues, which is not good.
