Can diabetes stunt growth for teenagers?

Answers:
that would depend on whether diabetes caused complications that affect growth, but diabetes by itself would not affect growth.
I don't ponder there's any statistics on this, but speaking for experience I would say yeah.

I own diabetes and I'm only 5 foot tall.
i get diabetes when i was 7 years behind the times. i am now 37 years frail. i am 5 feet 3 inches, my sister is 5 foot and 7 inches and my brother is 6 foot and 4 inches. both of my parents are tall also.. my Doctor told me that yes diabetes stunned my growth.i be teased as a child for anyone so short but kids can be mean.
When i be 11, i was so stout I was gross. everyone made fun of me. i get diabetes, lost nearly 70 pounds and started lifting weights.the way Arnold said to do it....really cumbersome and build a good bed. I take insulin. Insulin will work as a growth hormone..but i cant convey you how, I dont want you to screw yourself up. I doubt that diabetes will stunt your growth. In my high conservatory, me and the only other diabetic kid surrounded by the school be the biggest.muscular wise, and we have all the girls after us because of how very well defined our bodies were. Use your condition to become really big and strong, next if anyone ever screws next to you over your diabetes..you can beat them untill they no longer hold any facial features left.
I am not sure on the formal word on that but I have very same twins. One has have diabetes since she was two yrs weak. The other one doesn't have diabetes.
They are presently 17 and almost exactly the same height above sea level. Around 5'1" tall.
At the time of diagnosis, at hand can be a dip in the growth curve, but next to good blood sugar organization, the curve returns to normal.
