Strange symptoms... refusal herpes check.. positive partner next to no symptoms.. whats goin on!!?
ok. so a few weeks back I started have some strange symptoms, mainly cramps and stern pain. I go to the doctor and they suspected it was some sort of std.. My check came subsidise negative for everything, but my boyfriend be tested at the same time and tested positive for herpes. My try-out was gloomy, but I did have an exceptional papsmear and am undergoing cervical cancer screening, but I never found out what made me sick surrounded by the first place. My b/f has never have an outbreak and shows no symptoms.. should I be tested again? Is one of our tests wrong? Lately I hold been breaking out surrounded by hives on my arms and legs... is that related? Can anyone (with or without the virus) shed some insubstantial on this for me? Help!!
Answers: People can indeed have herpes and never own apparent symptoms. In reality, most people who hold herpes don't know that they have it.
It is pretty possible that your boyfriend has herpes and you simply own not caught it. Or (since it was determined via a blood test) maybe he has oral herpes on his genitals, or genital herpes on his mouth - which you own never caught.
From now on, though, I would suggest he wear a condom when you enjoy sex to prevent passing the herpes on to you.
As for your other symptoms, I would guess that they are not herpes. Cramps and pay for pain minus any lesions would be unusual symptoms for herpes, so I don't see any purpose to get re-tested.
Most promising scenario: He has herpes but have never had an outbreak. You own something else that has nonetheless to be determined.
I would suggest returning to your doctor, or going to another doctor, and figuring out what is wrong next to you.
And, for the record, I own had genital herpes for the end ten years.
Good luck.
get tested again
Ask for a blood experiment
thats how you detect herpes
