I lately saw an ad on TV for a exotic type of prescription medical cream that reduces facial pelt by attacking the hair follicle root. I will I could remember the name...Something approaching Vaniqua? Ask your dermatologist. I often use OTC cream on my upper lip but be excited when I saw this ad. I mull over I might try it.
For more information on Vaniqa, see http://www.vaniqa.com/
Read a good dermatology article on Vaniqa at http://www.dermadoctor.com/pages/newslet...
For an FDA report on adverse effects of Vaniqa, see http://www.hairfacts.com/medpubs/topical...
The FDA have actually call Vaniqa "a pleasant surprise"; it is a topical (skin) version of a drug originally developed to treat African sleeping sickness. The FDA praises Vaniqa surrounded by this article http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/2004/20...
I am going through menopause and have not but had problems near facial hair. I may be one of the fortunate ones. Anyway, I believe surrounded by thoroughly researching any drug before discussing it beside your physician. Good luck!
I have PCOS and am perimenopausal, so within a similar boat. I also tried the cream removers, but the hair have to be a certain length, and I wasn't going to do that again, and it burned as very well.
Honestly, on the advice of other women, I purely shave - with a accurate shaving cream and that's just it. Have freshly accepted it. No one else have to know. I lock the bathroom door, put on the fan, and run the hose down. Whacked out hormones are SO crappy!
