Thorotrast patients avoid contact to children?

if thorotrast was used during medical test on patient surrounded by the 50's, should patient avoid close contact beside children?

Answer:
I'm not sure what you are asking . . if a patient who have thorotrast (used 50 years ago as a contrast for xrays and later found to bring cancer) should stay away from children . . or if a patient who be injected with thorotrast would own children born with birth defect (similar to thalidomide).

I doubt that a patient who be injected the contrast needs to stay away from children or anyone. I don't reason it is contagious.

As for children born to these types of patients . . that may be a different matter and it may hold occured. There have be studies conducted on this issue:

Effects of Preconceptional Irradiation on Mortality and Cancer Incidence in the Offspring of Patients Given Injections of Thorotrast

You may know how to find more information online by conducting a search.
