4 year daughter have have frequent loose stools.?
Been about 10 days. Stools are loose not liquid. She goes just about 5 times a day. Doctor said that she probably have a stomach bug. Can children at this age get IBS? What foods would be devout to perhaps be more "binding"?
Answers:
Is she drinking lots of liquid? My daughter began have problems when she was in the region of 3. Doctor didn't find anything and this was her lone symptom. It turns out she was merely drinking too much juice at time care. Once we restricted her liquid intake, things returned to normal.
It's possible she have IBS; it's also possible she may be allergic to some of the foods she is eating (for example, she may hold a wheat allergy). It's also possible she caught a bug.
Get your daughter to her pediatrician to make sure. She may a short time ago need to 'ride the bug out', and if it's an allergy, you can start treating it.
Good luck to your daughter!
