Who invented coumadin blood thinner?

Was wondering if it was a man by the first name of Dr. Mario Stephanie, oncologist? Hope someone knows.
Answer:
Coumadin (warfarin) be originaly used as rat poison in the delayed 1800's. It wasn't until the 1950's when someone tried to commit suicide drinking coumadin that they began studying it as a anticoagulant. I guess the character who should take credit for coumadin would be karl contact. He did most of the studies for the drug.

hope that helped....
Goodman and Gilman (Medical Pharmacology Textbook) cite the isolation of coumarin from moldy wheat cattle surrounded by Canada ingested, leading to their developing massive internal bleeding. The generic moniker warfarin is named for the Wisconsin Animal Research Foundation. Don't know if Dr. MS be involved.
