2 year hoary vomitting for a week very soon?
My 2 year old daughter have been vomiting for a week in a minute. She has be to the doctors once and in the ER twice. Once she be dehydrated and the second time i thought she be bc she didn't pee for 24 hours however she wasn't. They checked her blood and urine and came to the conclusion that she have a virus and there is zilch further they can do. She vomits everytime she eats anything (which is just ever) or drinks in bulk (more afterwards an ounce an hour). I was wondering if this is mundane or should I take her support to the ER... basically is it middle-of-the-road for a virus to take this long!??!?!?!?
Any answers would be appreciated... appreciation!
Answers:
bring her to hospital they will iv her and help her for DEHYDRATION
Personally, I would be rear at the hospital E.R. demanding some answers other than this is a virus. A week is reasonably a bit of time in my mind. I am not a doctor, however, I am a mom of four. And this would concern me. Good luck and God bless****
OMG! I would definately pocket her back to the ER (or at tiniest call your peditrician). It is not usual for a virus to last this long (especially within someone her age). Vomiting for that long is hard on anyone, especially for a while tummy like that! Poor little piece:( Don't take "it is just a virus" from the ER Docs either...push until you take an answer! Ask for a specialist to come see her while you are there! Good luck!
No. i don't believe it's average to vomit every day for almost a week.
Make an emergency appointment at your regular doctor, next ask for a referral to whatever specialist he/she think could help.
Or, stir back to ER and be the squeaky tiller..make some tumult. Be persistent. Ask for answers. I know it's unproblematic to feel resembling they MUST know what they are doing, but you hear too many stories..God Bless
That's a long time to be sick. And, yes, it happen.Poor little girl. :-(
You need to look at a couple of things: how several times a day is she vomiting, how much time contained by between the time she vomits and when she's given more fluids, is she peeing x1 at least every 8 hr, is she producing saliva, and does she cry tears. The end 3 items will help you determine if she's dry. After she vomits give her stomach at least possible an hour before you dispense her anything to drink. When you re-introduce fluids give her 1 tablespoon of Gatorade (not the red) or pedialyte. later wait 15 minutes. If she keep it down, give her another tablespoon and so on. Should she vomit, you obligation to start the hour over.
Also, how is she behaving? Is she playful and live, alert and responsive or is she like a loose noodle, just lay around all daytime. If she's not improving, purloin her back to her PCP.
A week is a really long time to be vomiting. More so for a two-year ancient.
She needs to be getting TREATED presently. Meanwhile, get some acidophilus surrounded by her.
Good luck and be well.

this is thoroughly concerning. a week is way too long for a two year infirm even if it is a virus. she can't drink enough to maintain herself hydrated. i'd go spinal column to the doc or er and demand they comfort her. a virus can sometimes take a while but, she isn't drinking. that should be a concern for the docs.
Is within a 'Children's Hospital' anywhere near where on earth you live? Your daughter needs to be hospitalized, and bring 'proper treatment' ... she should be put NPO and on intravenous fluids until this 'virus' runs it's course and she can 'eat' without vomiting. If her doctor and your hospital won't do this, next take her to a hospital that WILL. Yes, a virus can ultimate longer than three days ... they can last up to a month or more ... and your daughter could 'dehydrate' (if she isn't already) and die, because these doctors sent her home.
