Is near epidemiologist who can evaluate scientists opinion on mercury condition effect?
I need expert belief from epidemiologist or occupational condition expert who has expertise surrounded by evaluating scientists' reports/opinion. In my place nearly 1000 people be affected by mercury haze and doctors who examined them confirmed there is mercury effect. The factory doctors took workers' historic health paperwork (these records are stupid) to medical researchers. They opined that in attendance cannot be mercury health effect or in attendance cannot be delayed mercury health problem or birth defect for children of mercury exposed women. I have these reports. I call for help from different experts who can evaluate these reports and comment on this. thanks.
Answer:
The U.S Dept. of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) can point you to state or federal official who can review the findings. The scientific arm of the population that investigate are National Institute for Occupational Health, (NIOSH) and Centers of Desease Control (CDC)
I probably could do this for you (I am an epidemiologist), but I have found it to be difficult to communicate via Yahoo!Answers. that, and I am busy near a day-job (as an epidemiologist).
Instead, I would call your local condition department and talk to the folks in charge of Occupational Health or Toxics Epidemiology. Report the situation to them and see what's going on, whether the symptoms fit beside Hg poisoning and whether there really is incidence greater than the expected level in your population.
