3 chemo treatments and he is have numbness?
ok my husband has have 3 chemos of taxotear and carboplatin and is now have numbness in moved out side of face and moved out arm we never had this beforehand the chemo. took him to the er and they couldnt find out what was cause it he has a 2cm tumor on the right side of mouth and a 1cm on the moved out side plus a spot on right lung. we finished radiation in 07 found out the cancer be back within june of 07. the oncologist dosent think its the chemo i enjoy told him that this happened 45 minutes after he have his chemo he wont listen to me i need support soon all the er doctor did be send him home and arm is still numb cant turn to another hospital his insurance wont pay for it.

It is probably at a tangent neuropathy.
Inform his doctor ASAP.
A good drug for explicitly called Neurontin. His doctor may prescribe that. Do anything his doctor says. Keep a review of symptoms and anything unusual, and always discuss them beside the doctor.

it might be nuerapathy. (sp.?) my mom has that contained by both her hands and foot. Docotrs lie, chemo is big money and dolefully, there are side effects to ALL drugs. Check on the drugs website, it may know how to give you side effect info from the clinical trials. Good luck to your husband. and look into altrnative caution, there is no cure for cancer, so why agree to the horrifing drugs kill you and cause your life so miserable?

Taxotere and carboplatin can both make happen peripheral neuropathy, but that would be the hand and feet, not the obverse or arm.
A more likely culprit might be a growth pressing on a bottle. Has he had a CT scan of his arm/shoulder/neck?
It is a strange symptom. Keep asking question til you find out what's causing it.
Chemo and radiation can both explanation numbness on one side of the face,at a tangent neuropathy is not limited to hand and feet. Salivary glands within your mouth could also be affected and result in the numbness. If he is allowed to take supplements, a flawless quality vitamin B complex can do away with or at least run down the numbness.
