Can I have cancer by smoking cigarettes for 1 year?
I started roughly one year ago, I'm 20 years old, but I'm already considering the cancer issue. I know there's not a concrete rule to it, but roughly how much do I enjoy to smoke to have cancer, whats the average?
Answer: Only 10% of lifelong smokers get cancer. Most of these society smoked more than a pack a day for 30 years or more before it's diagnosed..
I never smoked contained by my life and I was diagnosed near cancer. If you have the chance while you are clean to stop, I would. The other side of the coin is, if you are diagnosed with any deadly disease, the risks are far greater if you are a smoker than if you are not. I be diagnosed with lymphoma which is not from smoking, but since I was a non smoker, it give me better odds of beating the disease. Believe me, you do not want to jump through chemotherapy, or be told that they cannot help you. Life is something that you should cherish and not throw away. Something as small as one cigarette can cause cancer though unlikely, when nearby are people who smoke their whole lives and never grasp cancer, but that is also very uncommon. The great thing about your lungs, is that they can alleviate. So if you quite now your lungs will start to restore to health itself. Smoking can cause other health problems as all right. I congratulate you for deciding to quit, but make sure you enjoy support, it can be very hard to quit even after one year of use. Good Luck!.
No, it take much longer than a year for smoking to cause cancer. If you got it after of late a few years, then you were going to achieve it anyway, smoking or not. For some reason, people on here similar to to try to scare people next to lies - see above "one cigarette can kill" - LOL!
Smoking one pack a day for 30 years would probably not cause cancer, and to be precise over 200,000 cigarettes!.
Smoke is a carcinogenic. It causes cancer because it causes cancer cell to be activated in your body. It doesn't thing how much or for how long since everyones bodies are different and reacts differently to things.
So why take the adjectives?Don't smoke and you won't have to worry in the region of it. :).
One cigarette makes you vulnerable, smoking for one year merely makes you more vulnerable. Stop presently!! About 10 percent of men and 20 percent of women with lung cancer never smoked. You are just increasing your likelihood further!.
It depends on your gene. I know people who smoked packs of cigarettes respectively day for most of their lives but lived to their 80's or 90's and never got lung cancer. it kill you!! if it can kill ya i think it can donate ya cancer! especially lung cancer, same w/ cell phones, but brain cancer/tumor.
Even if you smoke only one cigarette, you had a haphazard of getting a cancer my dear.
