Unless both partners have voluminous open sores in their mouths, or severely bleeding gums, in attendance is no transmission risk from mouth-to-mouth kissing..
It is amazing that people still muse think this may be true.
The answer is NO!
Only contact with blood, the blood of someone beside HIV/AIDS must mix with yours by needle or through an unfold sore, OR via conact with sexual fluids (male & female) through unprotected sexual intercourse of any type..

C'mon now it's 2008, why are people still so unacquainted about this disease? Think about your query, if it was transmitted thru kissing don't you think the unbroken world would have it by now? I wouldn't willingly/knowingly kiss someone beside either....people near AIDS can have all kind of other infections too ie. TB etc......which can be spread by kissing..
yes if both of you have open wounds contained by your mouth or tongue. the chance are pretty low. no unless you kiss for like roughly speaking an hour probably, but i dont think so.
