Is in attendance a bearing of contracting genital herpes short have intercourse?
My boyfriend and I have been together for just more or less a year now, but not too long after we started dating (2 months, to be exactly) he got a blister on his genital area and he said that nouns was itching for a few days before the blister appeared. I never thought it would've been herpes. But we go to the hospital and it was confirmed, he has herpes, but i think my put somebody through the mill is.. Is there a way of contracting herpes without have skin to skin contact or sexual activity with someone who has them? I know I dont hold herpes, I've never been tested but I have not have more than 3 sexual partner in my life and I have never have itching or any symptoms, I rarely even get sick of anything and i know he didnt cheat on me.
Could it be possible that he got it from one of his olden relationships and the virus didnt have any reactions till then? Please some relief... I am really desperate..
Do you know which herpes type he has, hsv-1 or hsv-2?
Herpes normally shows for the first time 2-10 days after exposure. Which method, if it WAS a primary outbreak, that if he didn't cheat he must have caught it from you.
It is possible to have herpes without knowing. You could own oral herpes and have transmitted that to his genitals, if you had ever given him oral sex, or you could have have genital herpes without symptoms. 80% of people with any type of herpes are unaware of their infection. 20% truly have NO symptoms.
What it comes down to if neither of you cheated is that one of you had herpes at the start of the relationship (and didn't know).
So, these are the possibilities:
-he get it from a past partner and didn't show symptoms until then
-you got it from a bygone partner (you can get it from your first boyfriend, and can still catch it when using condoms) and have never shown symptoms
-you convey oral herpes (cold sores) and don't recall having symptoms (80% of adults have oral herpes)
You entail to get tested! You can have a blood test, and they can convey you which, if any, type of herpes you have. If you have never been tested, you CANNOT know for sure you don't enjoy herpes, and having only had 3 partner is no guarantee... same for him.
Honey, I hate to share you this but you could have them yourself and just not have any symptoms. You might want to jump get yourself checked out as well just to be sure. And ask the doctor while you're in that this question.
Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact near someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. Source(s): GP for more years than I care to remember
Both herpes simplex virus-1 and virus-2 may be transmitted through sex, or by kissing or touching any affected nouns. A condom can prevent herpes transmission during vaginal or anal sex, but oral contact with genitals or open sores anywhere can spread the disease. Washing hand can also minimize transmission.
