My Doctor said i have protein in my urine, Is that bad?
Because they put me on a strict diet and some medicine and i followed it for a month and they told me to come posterior in and take another urine tryout so I did and they still found protein in my urine. Is something wrong that i should be worried about?
Answer: Having proteinuria isn't inherently bleak. How potentially serious it is depends on what's causing it. Many of the causes are treatable and you shouldn't verbs too much at this point. It will take time to correct this. Make a follow up appointment and speak to your doctor about it. Bring a catalogue of questions and concerns with you. Make sure every press is answered, that every answer is understood and that every concern is addressed to your fulfilment. "Dr. D" is not a doctor and even the most well intentioned student is not a substitute for your primary care provider..
First stale all I would like to speak you not suppose to worry about that because your doctor know what him/her need to do.
Normally in urine doesn't own protein. I think you may have the kidney problem, but don't verbs. I think, your doctor maybe already check your blood such as red blood, white blood, creatinine, proteine, and much more..that relate to kidney; the essential thing is you have to follow doctor call for. Question for you- Is there anything else in your medical history that you have need of to include? Just finding protein in your urine could be a sign of a kidney problem or diabetes- were you on meds and a diet for diabetes?
I reason if it was something really bad your doctor would imbue you in on it. Don't worry until they if truth be told tell you something bad. Until next take your meds, watch your diet and write down any question that you may want to ask the doctor next time you see them..
You need to follow the diet and nick the meds like your suppose to, it is very prominent. To much protein can cause damage to the kidneys. Make sure you do your follow ups next to your Dr. I don't know what kind of Dr. you are going to but you may need to consult near a Nephrology Dr.

Bad: It means that you have your time. You should try taking iron pills and eat more meat and vegetables.
Good: You are providing your body with adequate fluid. You should try to drink more juice and eat more fruit. You are also exercizing obedient, too..
Proteinuria is a condition in which urine contains an abnormal amount of protein. Proteins are the building blocks for adjectives body parts, including muscles, bones, hair, and nails. Proteins contained by your blood also perform a number of noteworthy functions. They protect you from infection, help your blood clot, and keep the right amount of fluid circulating throughout your body.
As blood pass through healthy kidneys, they filter the waste products out and move in the things the body needs, resembling proteins. Most proteins are too big to pass through the kidneys' filters into the urine unless the kidneys are worn out. The main protein that is most potential to appear in urine is albumin. Proteins from the blood can escape into the urine when the filters of the kidney, call glomeruli, are damaged. Sometimes the term albuminuria is used when a urine experiment detects albumin specifically. Albumin's function in the body includes retention of fluid in the blood. It act like a sponge, soaking up fluid from body tissues.
Inflammation in the glomeruli is call glomerulonephritis, or simply nephritis. Many diseases can cause this inflammation, which leads to proteinuria. Additional processes that can violate the glomeruli and cause proteinuria include diabetes, hypertension, and other forms of kidney diseases.
Research shows that the level and type of proteinuria (whether the urinary proteins are albumin one and only or include other proteins) strongly determine the extent of damage and whether you are at risk for developing progressive kidney failure.
Proteinuria is also associated near cardiovascular disease. Damaged blood vessels may lead to heart disappointment or stroke as well as kidney failure. If your doctor finds that you hold proteinuria, do what you can to protect your health and prevent any of these diseases from developing.
Several health organization recommend that some people be regularly checked for proteinuria so that kidney disease can be detected and treated before it progresses. Proteinuria is the best predictor of progressive kidney anticlimax in people next to type 2 diabetes.
People with diabetes, hypertension, or certain people backgrounds are at risk for proteinuria. In the United States, diabetes is the leading motive of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), the result of chronic kidney disease. In both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, the first sign of deteriorating kidney function is the presence of small amounts of albumin in the urine, a condition called microalbuminuria. As kidney function decline, the amount of albumin in the urine increases, and microalbuminuria becomes full-fledged proteinuria.
High blood pressure is the second governing cause of ESRD. Proteinuria in a character with high blood pressure is an indicator of past it kidney function. If the hypertension is not controlled, the person can progress to full renal failure
