My son has low (15)HDL and low(42) LDL and VLDL high (72) and triglycerides high (361) ! what's this mean?

Answer:    Your son has extremely bad numbers and wants to see a doctor right away. His good cholesterol (HDL) is very low, and two big indicators of heart disease and atherosclerosis (his VLDL and triglycerides) are deeply high. These are numbers you might see on someone who is obese -- if so, your son should consult with a nutritionist and his common practitioner right away, so he can lose the weight. If he is not obese, then he may enjoy some disease that you need to get looked into.

I'm sorry, these are pretty serious numbers. Get him an appointment next to his GP as soon as you can.
