Should I consult a GP for a diabetes examination?
I did have a glucose test done when I was 13 and everything come back fine. Now I'm 25 and I've been having some symptoms. The symptoms I'm worried roughly is that I'm thirsty all the time; and urinating many times during the day and frequent times during the night. It also seems that sometimes my vision blurs only just a little for a bit then goes vertebrae to normal. I've also had a super appetite lately plus I've been have some abdominal pain. I don't think I've gained or lost much counterweight though. My great grandma and my grandpa on my dad's side have/had it and need insulin or tablets and there is some diabetes on my mom's side.
I do have an appointment to see a GP on the 3rd of March, but should I really loaf that long? The reason I'm waiting is because I'll have state insurance then. Would it be more prudent if I basically got in sooner?
Answers: Don't wait. See a doctor as soon as you can procure in. Because of your symptoms and your family history, you shouldn't put this off. If you own developed DM2, you need to begin managing it yesterday to avoid as much damage as possible to your organs and blood vessel. Source(s): I'm a nurse.

Your thirst and urinating are a sign of high glucose levels, and the blurred vision is a sign of low level.Another symptom of diabetes and high glucose levels is if you lose weight.
It is meaningful to get Diabetes diagnosed as early as possible, so i'd suggest movine your appointment to a closer date.
