My company's screening requires the results to show what class of drugs were found and then the employee have a short amount of time (like 48 hours) to present evidence that it's a prescribed drug. So my company is looking for people who abuse prescription drugs as well as unjust drugs. I would suspect that ativan and xanax would not be distinguishable in a blood test although it's possible that if you take it at difficult doses than prescribed then higher concentrations will be noted. That's the other part the body have to prove, what the prescribed amount is.
